Come see many exciting projects from various groups in the Computer Science department. The event is sponsored by the GSU University Career Services, Department of Computer Science and ACM Student Chapter * This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your work and see what other students are up to. Snacks and drinks will be provided. The event will feature a poster/demo competition, with posters/demos being evaluated by faculty and invited guests from Industry. The best posters/demos will be recognized and awarded * Who Can Participate Poster/demo submissions are open to both undergrads and graduate students in the Computer Science department. A poster/demo can be related to research or class projects. If it is based on a class project, please include the instructor as the mentor in the registration form. It pairs individuals together in establishing a mentoring partnership for guidance in multiple areas such as career, education, leadership, and volunteering. This program serves as a way for students to experience the Summit by personally connecting with someone from within their field and making a professional alliance * There will also be a pre-event (welcome reception) at the Georgia Aquarium on 4 May for anyone interested in attending. That will start around 5:30 or 6:00 pm and food will be available at the reception. * Interested Students please fill the below google form: https://forms.gle/onnqX6JzwYJ3Aosp7 * Recruiting participants for RESORC: REsearch Exposure in Socially Relevant Computing * Syracuse University is offering a research exposure workshop, funded by Google Research, to expose undergraduate underrepresented computing students (including Latinx, African American, American Indian or Indigenous and LGBTQIA+) to what socially relevant computing research can look like, to help them build self-efficacy and become stronger candidates for doctoral programs, and to influence their career choices by providing a supportive community of peers. This will be a completely virtual workshop.
