• The PANTHERWEB Student Club is looking for members! (see flyer) 

§ The Panther Web Development Group specializes in the following areas:

· Markup languages, such as HTML

· Creating stylesheets with CSS

· Scripting and making pages interactive with JavaScript

· Using frameworks such as React

· Angular, and Vue

· Creating mobile and web applications

· Understanding UI/UX design

· Creating new web development projects

• GetReadyData Club is starting a new virtual Python Workshop Series this week focused on machine learning! (see flyer for QR code) 
• This new series builds upon their original Python & Data Workshop Series
• Python for Machine Learning (ML) 1: Univariate Linear Regression - Friday, March 24th from 1 to 3.
• Python for Machine Learning (ML) 2: Multivariate Linear Regression - Friday, March 31st from 1 to 3.
• Python for Machine Learning (ML) 3: Logistic Regression - Friday, April 7th from 1 to 3.

Training Opportunities:

• Applications are now open for CodePath's no-cost remote summer courses
• Intro to Software Engineering is geared towards beginners looking to learn the fundamentals of coding
• Technical Interview Prep is designed to help students ace challenging algorithmic problems in whiteboard and coding interviews to secure an internship or full-time role in tech
• CodePath's courses are developed and taught by software engineers to prepare students for a successful tech career

Hack-a-thons:

· TechTogether Hackathon

o Event Description: TechTogether Atlanta is a 2-day hackathon for people of marginalized genders hosted by community leaders across Georgia. The event will take place this Spring in Atlanta! Join us for two full days of skill-building and professional development workshops, networking with recruiters, and of course - fun activities like face masks. Each attendee has the option to work with a team to build a project like a website or mobile application with the support of our mentors. Whether it's your first hackathon or your 100th, everyone has something to learn and contribute at this event! Major League Hacking’s TechTogether Atlanta is so excited to announce this year’s in-person hackathon! We can’t wait to bring your magical ideas to life from April 22-23, 2023 at Georgia Tech’s Klaus Atrium. This event will be a great opportunity for people of marginalized genders to make connections, attend workshops, improve their skill set and more! We invite you to come join us, regardless of your experience or background.

Undergrad Research Opportunity:

• The Humanities Inclusivity Program (HIP) at Georgia State University is funded by The Mellon Foundation and gives undergraduates the chance to conduct research and explore careers in academia.  The HIP Summer Immersion is a ten-week, research-intensive, project-based summer program for rising sophomores and juniors. This program provides the opportunity for participants to work on digital humanities and other team-based project labs with the EPIC Project Labs Program. Participants will also complete humanities scholar profiles, attend professional development workshops, and make presentations at a closing research symposium. The expected time commitment for this program is twenty hours per week and students will be paid $20 per hour for up to 15 hours per week for their work. Once the summer program is complete, students will have the option of applying to enter the longer HIP Assistantship Program which provides a paid research assistantship throughout the academic year
