The department of anthropology is happy to announce the first annual call for applications for the Carolyn Fluehr-Lobban Scholarship. Current graduate students in anthropology are eligible. Applications are due by March 1 via email to me ([log in to unmask]). This scholarship provides funding for anthropology graduate students whose research focuses on Africana studies (including work related to African-American studies). The scholarship supports students whose work demonstrates a commitment to engaged anthropology and ethically-conscious practice. The amount of the award is $750, which may be used to support any stage of the research process. More details about what needs to be included in the application can be found in the attached PDF document.
