Departmental News: 

• Finals week goes from December 6^th - 13^th
• Tutoring for CS classes is available online & in person in the STEM Center (Sports Arena, 125 Decatur Street) 

· Classes: 1301, 1302, 2510, 2720, 3210, 3320

Industry Opportunities:

• Applications are still open for Google’s Research Scholar Program
• Applications close December 1^st, 2022 at 11:59:59pm AoE (UTC-12). Please contact [log in to unmask] should your question not be answered on the website

• CodePath's no-cost spring 2023 remote courses:
• Courses are taught and developed by professional software engineers to ensure that students gain industry knowledge in support of your curriculum

• Android Development in Kotlin - Throughout the course, students will plan, build and test a fully-functional Android app in Kotlin. Geared towards students with programming experience.
• iOS Mobile Development - Students will plan, build and test a fully-functional iOS app throughout the course. Geared towards students with programming experience.
• Cybersecurity - Learn the fundamentals of cybersecurity, common application vulnerabilities and attacks. Originally designed in collaboration with Meta.
• Web Development — Learn to design and create your own sites inspired by popular websites you already know and love. Start your journey by structuring and styling the look and feel of your website, then add interactive elements like videos, forms, and animations to really bring it to life!

• Additional details and course eligibility can be found on the web pages above. Important note: The deadline is February 5^th, there is limited availability in each course, and students will be admitted on a rolling basis.

Student Clubs:

• [REMINDER] Girls++ is hosting a make-up meeting on Wednesday November 30^th at 5:30pm at 25 Park Place Conference room 755, with an online option available too! This meeting will consist of CS interview prep, white board coding, resume building, along with a guest speaker and snacks! See you there!

Undergrad Research Opportunity:

• Are you interested in writing an undergraduate CSc Honors Thesis? You do not need to be an Honors student to participate. Dr. Mario Kubek will oversee undergraduate students interested in the areas of Cybersecurity, Natural Language Processing, and A.I.

*Please know that an undergraduate may consider writing an Honors thesis if they are interested in applying to graduate school…but this is not a requirement

· Georgia Tech’s MS in Quantitative and Computational Finance (QCF) Program: 

o This program offers students the opportunity to learn the quantitative/data science skills needed to work in various sectors within the finance industry, including investment banking, trading, asset/wealth management, risk management, financial technology, data science, consulting (see flyer)
