All graduate students are invited to present at the inaugural Graduate Conference for Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity On Nov. 11, The Graduate School will host an all-day event to feature the work of our graduate students. Opportunities to participate will include oral presentations, poster presentations, films, artistic and creative presentations, musical performances and artist talks. All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.

The theme of the conference is “Change Through Scholarship.” Participants are invited to submit around the following broad topical themes designed to encompass basic research, methodological development,
critical essays and treatises, creative activities and all other scholarship activities:

  • An Evolving Marketplace: Multicultural, Multilingual and Multinational
  • Navigating a Digital World: Information, Security and Data
  • Education and Learning 2.0
  • Next Generation Healthcare, Public Health and Therapeutics
  • Freedom and Justice for All: Human Rights, Social and Racial Justice, Diversity, Inclusion, Equity
  • A Greener and More Sustainable Future
  • Thriving Creatively: Music, Art and Film
  • Pushing the Boundaries of Science
  • Reimagining Urban Spaces

Submission Guidelines

Please submit an abstract through our submission portal available here. Your abstract should:

  • Contain no more than 250 words.
  • Specify your preferred presentation format (poster, oral, film, artistic display, musical performance, artistic talk).
  • Select one to three topical themes that generally describe the primary focus of your presentation.
  • For presentations that include an artistic performance, include the name and description of the work(s). The presenter could supplement the performance with a short, spoken introduction about the work(s).
