The Office of Graduate Services is here to help before the holidays. 

The Office of Graduate Services will be closed Monday, December 20, 2021 through Monday, January 3, 2022. We will return on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, resuming our regular office hours of 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM.

All emails received during the break will be addressed upon my return in the order they were received. 

 

Graduating students: If you have questions about degree conferral or diplomas, please visit the registrar's info page. For information regarding commencement, please visit  commencement.gsu.edu.

 

Continuing students: Spring registration is currently open! Do not wait until the last minute to register for courses. Please note, there is manual intervention required in the registration assistance process. While the university is closed, requests made through the portal WILL NOT be processed.  See below for additional information regarding the Registration Assistance Portal.

Registration Assistance

The Graduate Services Office processes student requests for registration assistance for common issues using the Registration Assistance Portal. If you are unable to register for a course you may request assistance using the portal. 

Common issues include:

  • Prerequisite and test score errors when you meet the prerequisite requirement
  • Prerequisite and test score errors when you DO NOT meet the prerequisite requirement but would like to request an exception
  • The course requires department or instructor permission
  • Duplicate or repeat course block errors
  • Time conflict error and you would like to request an allowance

Is the course you want to take full? 

For full course sections, please report your interest in registering for a full course (or specific sections) by submitting the Full Course Request located within the Registration Assistance Portal.

Overflow requests will no longer be processed on an individual basis. Submissions will help inform decisions to add new course sections or seats, where resources allow. 

Submission of the request will not place you on a waitlist.  You can submit to the waitlist, but also continue to monitor the course schedule to see if a seat becomes available.
