         The CS Department needs your help! 

o    Request #1: Our Department is currently conducting a national search for a new department chair and your input as a computer science major is invaluable. Please consider attending tomorrow’s meeting with Dr. Armin Mikler, Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of North Texas 

  When: Thursday, February 20th from 3:30pm – 4:30pm in Conference Room 755 on the 7th floor of 25 Park Place (CS Department). 

  Please come to the meeting with questions and/or concerns that you may have in a myriad of areas ranging from: (number of courses offered each semester, number of seats in those courses, content of courses, lab space, resources, career opportunities, etc)

o    Request #2: Consultants from NSF will be visiting the STEM Tutoring Center to make recommendations on improvements. Please consider meeting with the NSF consultant team on Friday, February 21st, from 10:30am to 11:30am in the Petit Science Center, Room 303, to voice your concerns 




         STEMulate - will be hosting their Inclusivity and Diversity in STEM (IDS) Conference this Thursday, February 20th (see flyer)
