Announcements:

 

·         [REMINDER] Computer Science has launched a Virtual Tutoring Center to provide tutoring services for students enrolled in the CSC 1301, 1302, 2510, 2720, 3210 and 3320 classes. 

o    Tutoring Hours: Monday-Friday, 7.30pm - 9.30pm, Sunday 3pm-5pm

o    The web address is http://cstutoring.cs.gsu.edu/ 

o    You will need to type in your Campus ID and select a class in order to login.  

 

Events:

 

·         Girls ++ is hosting AVANADE for an Interview and Resume Tips Workshop this Thursday, Oct 24th from 4:30pm - 6:00pm in Room 755 (see flyer) 

·         GSU research opportunities for undergraduates - The Research Recruits program is offering an REU experience (see flyer) as well as an opportunity to present a poster at the fall STEM Conference on Friday, November 15th (see flyer)

·         Brainhack ATL will take place from Wednesday, November 13 through Friday, November 15th. This is a free 3-day hackathon, consisting of competitive project tracks that will have 60 participants working on computationally intensive projects to develop neuroimaging tools and apply machine learning to brain imaging data. *Food will be provided throughout the event and prizes will be awarded to the winning project teams. ·         Girls Who Code Club will have a meeting this Friday from 3-5pm to code post Mini-Projects together on Github. GWC will also be posting internship/scholarship opportunities to students during the event. The meeting takes place in the Library's CURVE space (snacks and refreshments served)

·         oSTEM (Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) - GSU’s chapter of oSTEM has set up a series of meetings in which LGBT+ students and their allies can come together in a safe and welcoming space to further develop their academic and professional skills (see flyer) 

·         [REMINDER] Data Science & Analytics Day will be held on Thursday, November 14th from 9am - 1:30pm - 25 Park Place (see flyer) 

·         [REMINDER] Graduate School Fair - University Career Services is hosting 80+ local, national and international graduate school recruiters on October 29th 2019 (see flyer) 

·         [REMINDER] CMII sponsored Blockchain Workshops, held from 2pm - 4pm on Wednesdays - October 23rd, 30th and Nov. 6th (REGISTER NOW)

·         [REMINDER] CS Networking Event will happen on Friday, November 1st from 3pm - 5pm at Launch GSU. This is an invaluable opportunity for students to connect both with industry professionals and fellow students within the tech field (see flyer)

·         [REMINDER] HackGSU, a collegiate level hackathon, will be held from Friday, November 1st through Sunday, November 3rd at the Aderhold Learning Center. Please note: seating is limited so sign up soon! Registration URL:http://www.hackgsu.com
