Extracting data from Data Warehouse using SQL
Responding to standard periodic data requests
Developing archive files for departmental use
Preparing data tables (as needed)
Analyzing and interpreting extracted data using statistical packages (i.e. SPSS, STATA)
Preparing reports and data visuals with software (i.e., Tableau)
Producing data visualization dashboards
Non-paid internship with flexible hours in a virtual work environment
Fulfill course requirements without interrupting daily life routines
Learn from subject matter experts

Expand knowledge of accessing and analyzing data to fulfill data requests

Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful alien.
Must be a junior, senior, or graduate level student at a 4-year accredited
college/university with a minimum Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 2.5.
Must be majoring in Computer Science, Math and/or Statistics, Computer Information
Systems or Business, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Political
Science or Public Administration/Public Policy, Pre-Law, Business Administration,
Computer Information Systems, Economics, Journalism, or Management.
Must be recommended by a faculty member.
Must have no criminal history of offenses involving moral turpitude or a pattern of
disregard for public safety. Careful consideration will be given to any criminal history
the applicant might have.
