Register for a Symposium on Scientific Computing, Data Analytics and AI

Research Solutions, GSU's Technology unit, invite you to attend Georgia State's 2-day Scientific Computing Day Symposium. Join us for this year's SCD and learn about scientific computing from a data analytics perspective.  Participate in training sessions on cutting-edge data analytics techniques, attend expert-led presentations and discussions on technology, submit your research poster presentation and/or cloud computing seed grant proposal. Get involved and hear speakers from across Georgia State, Dell EMC, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, NVIDIA, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Chicago and more. With a support from our sponsors and Georgia State, registration for SCD is FREE.

Day 1 - Thursday, October 5, 2017 - 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Day 2 - Friday, October 6, 2017 - 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

What to expect?
Day 1 – October 5: Tutorials/labs led by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft experts.  Modules and hands-on labs will provide overview and practice in data analytics with a focus on dashboards and training deep learning models.
Day 2 – October 6:  Technical program features: presentations by renowned and leading experts on topics such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and advanced cyber-infrastructure.  There will also be a panel discussion, opportunities for student networking, and a poster reception.
