[News from the Offi] From the Office of the Associate Vice President for Research Thank you to those of you who have taken the URSA Faculty Survey. If you haven't taken the survey, consider this a friendly reminder that we would greatly appreciate your input. Click here to begin survey<https://survey.us2.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6mrbLKwJyt4kV93>. Dear Faculty, On behalf of Dr. James Weyhenmeyer, VP for Research and Economic Development, I would like to note how excited we are about the great strides GSU investigators have made in moving this university toward its goal of becoming a leading urban research institution. We realize for the university to meet goals and initiatives set forth in the strategic plan, University Research Services and Administration (URSA) must always be on the lookout for opportunities to provide efficient research support services to the GSU research community. In 2012, we conducted a brief survey asking the university research community to provide feedback regarding URSA services. Your responses to last year's survey helped us to rethink support strategies and develop new initiatives such as the GSU Research News newsletter, Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development email, the PI listserv to share policy and procedure announcements and the funding opportunities listserv to share valuable funding information. It is time we check in with you again to find out if we are meeting your research support service needs. We ask that you consider taking a brief survey. Participation is voluntary and responses will remain anonymous. The survey should only take a few minutes of your time and will provide us with your thoughts and ideas. This will help us tremendously to move forward improving our communication with you. If you are willing, please click here to begin the survey<https://survey.us2.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6mrbLKwJyt4kV93>. Please feel free to email us at any time if you have questions or ideas about what URSA is doing or to share ideas about how you think we can improve in the area of research support ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>). I look forward to working with you all, individually and as a community, in this exciting time of tremendous growth at Georgia State. Sincerely, Monica Swahn, Ph.D., M.P.H.
