INTERNAL and EXTERNAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

(Funding and research-related announcements for members of the Georgia State research community)

This biweekly email service (and RSS feed) is available by subscription (See Subscribe box on the URSA Funding Opportunities webpage).  Archives of past funding emails can be accessed by clicking on the RSS option in the Subscribe box.  Contact the URSA office at [log in to unmask] with additional questions or comments.

*Many of these funding opportunities listed below are pulled from the COS-Pivot funding database.  GSU faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to register for COS-PIVOT (at no cost) to create their own search profile and receive weekly alerts to all new funding in their areas of research.  For more information on using COS-PIVOT to find funding, visit the URSA Funding Database webpage.

Announcements

NIH: Upcoming Changes to Public Access Policy Reporting Requirements and Related NIH Efforts to Enhance Compliance (NOT-OD-12-160); NIH informs grantees that in Spring, 2013, at the earliest, NIH will delay processing of non-competing continuation grant awards if publications arising from that award are not in compliance with the NIH public access policy.

NIH: NIH Operates Under Continued Resolution (NOT-OD-13-002): Signed by President Obama in September 2012, NIH will continue to operate through March 27, 2013 at the FY2012 level plus 0.6%.

NSF: NSF awardees must stop submitting project reports in FastLane starting on February 1, 2013. On March 18, 2013, NSF will transfer its current project reporting service from FastLane to Research.gov.  Principal Investigators should pay particular attention to reports previously submitted and returned by their NSF Program Officer.  Returned reports should be revised and resubmitted prior to February 1.  To assist the research community with this transition, the overdue date will be extended for all project reports that are currently scheduled to become overdue between January 31 and April 30, 2013. For more details.
