Please try to attend - A new and focused Career and Internship Fair.

University Career Services is hosting the newly developed Arts and Sciences Career and Internship Fair on January 30th, 2013 (11am – 3pm, Dahlberg Hall) and I wanted to make sure you knew about this event.  In addition, can you help share the information across the college with faculty and students?    I have attached a flyer that could be used, as well

University Career Services has been working to expand career-focused programs and services for the College of Arts and Sciences and its students; this new event is one example of this effort.

By design, we are keeping the size of the fair small – this increases student and employer satisfaction and yields a higher ROI, as reported by employers.   For this fair, we have identified and registered 20 organizations who are specifically seeking Arts and Sciences majors.   And while all of our events are open to all students across the campus, what makes this event extremely potent for Arts and Sciences students is that the employers attending want to meet Arts and Sciences students for internships and employment.  In addition, both undergraduate and graduate students are being sought for positions.

Who is attending?  What majors are being sought?  The link below takes you to our recruiting schedule and shows the participating employers and which majors they are seeking.  Simply select the “Participants” button for the January 30th event and the list appears.

I am very excited this new career fair is happening this semester!  I look forward to expanding this event in the future and sharing with you more innovations that support your college and students!

Best wishes for a successful semester –

Kevin
