I) Eid Mubarak from the MSA!!
Kul aam wa amantum bil khair! May Allah accept all your siyam and your qiyam. Have a wonderful and blessed Eid. What better and joyful occassion to start the new semester with! Welcome to Fall 2012 everyone!
II) MSA Open House
The MSA will be hosting an open house for new and prospective members and for anyone who wishes to know more about the MSA. This will be at the Prayer Room, University Center 409, on Tuesday August 21st from 2-4 pm. Spread the word.
III) Back to School Eid Dinner
The Back to School Eid Dinner is scheduled to be on August 28th, from 6-10 pm at the Student Center Ballroom! Here's the link to the facebook page for the event: http://www.facebook.com/events/305180839578199/.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED!! We still need volunteers for this event. All volunteers are to wear GSU colors (blue, black and white) and need to show up between 4 pm and 6 pm to help set up. If you wish to volunteer for the event, please send us an email at [log in to unmask]. We will be very happy to have you.
Admissions: A table will be set up at the entrance allowing people to register and join the MSA by paying their dues for the semester. Dues for this event will be $5 and will include a free T-shirt and free admission to every other MSA event for the rest of the semester. Dues will increase to $10 after this event. For those not able to pay their $5 dues at this event, you can write down your name on a pledge form for $10 for admission to future events in the semester as well as a T-shirt. The pledges will be asked to be paid prior to the next MSA event. There will also be the option of paying either 5 dollars for the semester at this event or 10 dollars for the entire year. However, this option will be available at this event ONLY.
IV) Halaqah and Dawah Table
Halaqah and the Dawah Table will start from the second week of classes insha-Allah, except the Tuesday halaqah sessions that will begin on the third week, because of the Eid dinner. The Dawah table will be set up between 12 pm - 1 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, at the courtyard of the library plaza, for this semester.
