During this exciting seminar for junior faculty investigators and STEM educators, we will share tips on how to apply for a National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award. The CAREER Program offers the NSF's most prestigious awards in support of the early career-development activities of those teacher-scholars who most effectively integrate research and education within the context of the mission of theirorganization. Such activities should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of integrated contributions to research and education. The NSF CAREER Award provides five years of funding to awardees. CAREER Award winners are also eligible for consideration for the prestigious Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).   ??

A tentative agenda and overview outline are attached for your review. We hope you will consider joining us, along with a panel of previous CAREER award applicants, winners and reviewers to learn about how to begin your own proposal for this prestigious award.

For those who are not able to attend, we will be video-taping the seminar and archiving it on the URSA website along with downloadable materials. We hope many of our junior investigators will be able to attend this new seminar.
