It looks like Friday 26th of February at 1:00 PM works for most people.
I would like to apologize to those of you who will be unable to
attend the next meeting.
This is the formal announcement:
"Our next meeting will be held in COE 796 aka. Paul Erdos room, on
Friday, February 26th of 2010 from 1:00 PM -2:00 PM. The speaker is
Ph.D. candidate Jing He from the Computer Science Department at GSU.
She will talk about Java Applets. The abstract of her talk will be
posted as soon as we receive it. She also kindly agree to do little
write up about writing Java Applets which will be posted to our
I have also done some clean up of our web-page
The documentation section will be gradualy build as the speakers make
notes for their talks available.
I am almost ready to do some uploading into the Resuorces section.
The highest priority for me at this point are resuorces about
TeX/LaTeX because we all use that on the daily basis as well as my
favorite Unix tools (vi, sed, awk, shell programming, and Makefile).
On the another hand building department computer resources has to be
collective effort so I call upon everyone to pitch in by sharing and
writing about the resources for your favorite computer tools and OS.
Most Kind Regars,
P.S. I can also do first preliminary announcment that within next 6
months I will be probably able to get two dedicated machines which will
be used as the department web-server and file server. We will have
complete control over the servers.
