The following is the Georgia State University Police Departments Daily Crime and Fire Report summary from 7:00 a.m. Oct. 12, 2012 through 7:00 a.m. Oct. 15, 2012.
Arrests
10/14/12
Peachtree Street
12-1003 Officers arrested a Non-GSU individual for Obstruction, Public Indecency, and Alcoholic Possession under 21 years old. At 1:16 a.m. officers observed an individual urinating in public. The individual ran and was apprehended. He was arrested, processed and transported to Fulton County Jail.

University Commons
12-1005 Officers arrested a GSU student for Possession of Less than an ounce of Marijuana. At 10:06 p.m. officers were advised of an odor of marijuana and made contact with the resident. Officers confirmed that the student was in possession of marijuana. She was arrested, processed and transported to Fulton County Jail.

12-0998 A report was filed for Computer Trespass. A GSU student stated that their organizations website and accounts were hacked. This case is being handled by Investigations.

12-0999 A report was filed for Theft. A GSU staff member stated that equipment was checked out by a student on 1/20/2012 and has not been returned. The complainant has tried to contact the student for the equipment with failed attempts. This case is being handled by investigations.

12-0100 A report was filed for Odor of Marijuana. Officers were advised by the Resident Assistant of a strong odor of marijuana coming from one of the rooms. Upon entering the room, no one was present. Drug paraphernalia was confiscated by the officer. This case is being handled by Housing.

Piedmont Avenue
12-1001 A report was filed for Public Indecency. Officers responded to a call of an individual running and acting erratic wearing no pants. The individual was identified as a GSU student. The student was cited and taken to Grady Hospital for treatment.

University Commons
12-1004 A report was filed for a Fire Incident. At 6:25 p.m. officers were advised of a fire alarm and as they entered the hallway they observed a large amount of smoke. There was a cooking fire that was extinguished by the sprinkler system. A.F.D. were notified and arrived on the scene and cleared the smoke from the area. This case is being handled by the GSU Fire Safety Marshall.
