The following is the Georgia State University Police Departments Daily Crime and Fire Report summary from 7:00 a.m. July 02, 2012 through 7:00 a.m. July 03, 2012.

Arrests
06/30/12
Peachtree St./Marietta St.
12-0629      Officers arrested a Non-GSU individual on an Agency Assist for Robbery by Sudden Snatching. At 7:20 p.m. a Non-GSU individual advised officers an unknown individual approached her and snatched her cellular phone out of her hand. APD officers arrived to take the report. GSU officers searched the area and located an individual matching the description of the suspect. The victim confirmed the individual was the suspect and he released to APD for processing.

07/02/12
Broad St.
12-0632      Officers arrested a Non-GSU individual for Drinking in Public. At 3:20 p.m. officers confirmed the individual was drinking an alcoholic beverage in public. He was arrested, processed and released on a Copy of Charges.

12-0630      A report was filed for Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property. The complainant, a Non-GSU individual stated, on 06/29/12 at 8:20 p.m. he left his backpack containing various items unattended and when he returned at 9:20 p.m. he noticed it was missing. The case is being handled by Investigations.

12-0631      A report was filed for Theft. The complainant, a GSU student stated, at 2:50 p.m. she noticed her cellular phone was missing. The case is being handled by Investigations.
