Dear Georgia State research community,

University Research Services & Administration (URSA) is pleased to announce our fourth annual NSF CAREER Award seminar for faculty (or support staff) interested in learning more about preparing a proposal for this prestigious award. This award provides professional development support for junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholar through the integration of outstanding research and education. With proposal deadlines fast approaching, this seminar is a timely opportunity to receive relevant information for your application.

Back by popular demand, we are delighted to feature Georgia State's very own Dr. Christine Thomas (College of Education) who is an NSF reviewer. Dr. Thomas will provide first-hand knowledge about what reviewers look for in fundable applications and what commons pitfalls to avoid. In addition, there will be a rare opportunity to hear from past NSF CAREER Awardees at GSU and to have your personal questions about this award and the review process addressed. You will also receive information on how to access resources to help you write your application. Don't miss this opportunity!

The seminar will be held Thursday February 19, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:30AM. There will be limited seating so REGISTER TODAY to reserve your seat! To register and get location information go to https://webdb.gsu.edu/training_reg/admin/login.cfm?system=11 and log-in with your campus ID and password. Click on the 'Available Schedules' tab and register for the 'NSF Career Award Seminar'.

For more information about this event, please contact me Princeanna Walker ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or 404-413-3506).
