1. Muslim Community Supporting Muslim Patients

Are you interested in helping Muslim patients at metro Atlanta hospitals?
Metro hospitals currently lack resources in the Muslim community to help
them meet the spiritual needs of Muslim patients.
Find out how you can help by attending Muslim Community Supporting Muslim
Patients, a workshop sponsored by the Islamic Speakers Bureau of
Atlanta<>and Children's
Healthcare of Atlanta <>.
For a minimal registration fee of $10, you will gain the following:

   - An introduction to the hospital setting
   - An understanding of hospital chaplaincy
   - Opportunities for volunteering with hospital chaplaincy programs

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said, "A Muslim owes another Muslim
five rights: Returning the greeting, visiting the sick, joining funeral
processions, accepting invitations and blessing those who sneeze."
Register today. The workshop is on Saturday, October 9 at 8:30 AM and is
filling up fast!
Please see the attached flier.

2. Free Palestine Walk

The Free Palestine Walks are silent marches to take place in October on
behalf of an equitable U.S. policy toward Palestine that advances freedom
and equality for the Palestinian people.
The Free Palestine Walks have *two major goals:
*First, to *raise awareness* about the situation in Palestine among
Americans who will take part in, sponsor and observe the walks, including
your family members, friends, neighbors and community members. And second,
to *raise funds* for a powerful AAPER advertising campaign to be launched in
the cities where the Walks took place.
Like AIDS Walks, Breast Cancer Walks, and Freedom Walks during the Civil
Rights Movement, the Free Palestine Walks can have a major impact across the
United States as we work to advance an equitable U.S. policy toward
Palestine that finally advances freedom for the Palestinian people!
REGISTRATION FEES *Before October 15: $15; After October 15: $20
