Hello CSc majors,
If you have successfully completed CSC 2720 Data Structures and CSC 4520 Algorithms, then you are eligible to apply for this opportunity with Google. Please see the message below, that was directly sent to students in Computer Science at GSU, from a Google representative.
****If you have not passed both CSC 2720 Data Structures and CSC 4520 Algorithms, you are not eligible for the opportunity.
Hello GSU Students,
I hope you’re doing well and staying healthy at this time.
A team at Google is working on a technical education resource for college students, and they’d be grateful for your input to make sure they’re on the right track.
Right now, we are looking for ~10 students who would be willing to take part in one focus group session (about 60 minutes) the week of July 27th, where you will be able to share about your experience with Data Structures and Algorithms, and your comfort with technical interviews. During the first week of August, we’ll also be hosting 1:1 user experience interviews to dive a bit deeper into your experience and get feedback on what would be most useful for students to increase their knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms and increase confidence for technical interviewing.
The user study is in no way connected to Google's hiring, merely a fun way to get involved in our design process.
If you are interested in participating, please let me know ([log in to unmask]) if you would be available for one or all of these 1-hour focus group sessions:
* Monday, July 27th 10:00AM - 11:00AM ET
* Monday, July 27th 1:00PM - 2:00PM ET
* Tuesday, July 28th 10:00AM - 11:00AM ET
* Wednesday, July 29th 12:00PM - 1:00PM ET
* Wednesday, July 29th 3:00PM - 4:00PM ET
For the 1:1 interviews the week of August 3rd, please feel free to sign up for a spot here. We will then follow up with confirmation. If you don’t see any appointments available on those days, it’s because the spots are already filled - thanks for your help!
