Hello CSc majors,

The CS Department is excited to offer the course - CSC 4850 - INTRO to MACHINE LEARNING - this fall. The course will be taught by Dr. Daniel Pimentel-Alarcon who is an expert in Machine Learning and Data Science (see his bio here: https://www.cs.gsu.edu/profile/daniel-pimentel-alarcon/ )

Machine Learning is a subfield of Artificial Intelligence and will greatly prepare you for jobs related to Data Science in fields such as Health Informatics, Predictive Data Analytics and Business Analysis.

Please note that the prerequisites for the course have changed. You can now add the course by only previously passing CSC 2720 Data Structures and Math 3030 Math Models for CS with a C or higher. If you are interested in enrolling in this course, and have met the prerequisites, please contact me directly at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>

Sincerely,
Jamie Hayes
