We are seeking an undergrad or graduate student for part-time work in
our office at Center's for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC)
National Center for Zoonotic, Vector-borne, and Enteric Diseases,
Division of Parasitic Diseases.

Our website, which may be viewed at www.cdc.gov/healthywater
<http://www.cdc.gov/healthywater> , serves as a repository for all
water-related information across CDC. Although a substantial amount of
the site has been built, we are working to incorporate additional
sections and to make all related documents Section 508 compliant
(Section 508 requires that Federal agencies' electronic and information
technology is accessible to people with disabilities).

Our team consists of Michael Beach (Team Lead for Water and
Environmental Projects), myself, a very experienced full-time web
developer, and a part-time content writer. An intern would work closely
with the web developer, and would learn a great deal about web
development for government agencies in addition to the design,
development and maintenance of the information architecture of the site
and its network sub sites. The student would also be the primary point
person for 508 compliance.
