Dear Student,

SIBS (Summer Institutes for Training in Biostatistics) is scheduled this
summer June 8--July 17. SIBS is open to all US undergraduates (citizens
or permanent residents). Sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and
Blood Institute, the program has been very successful, but space is
limited!

The program flyer
<http://pull.xmr3.com/p/782-8557/57921628/clickto1_du-sibs-SIBSbrochure_2009.pdf.html>
explains that SIBS is offered at three sites: Boston University, North
Carolina State University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Further details are given at the individual websites listed on the flyer.

SIBS introduces quantitatively oriented undergraduate students to
Biostatistics. Students learn about the applications of statistical
methods to biomedical research through coursework and hands-on
experience working with real data collected in major clinical studies.
Each of the three program sites has its own unique features, but they
all have a well-conceived, balanced agenda and an outstanding staff of
dedicated investigators and professors.

Participants receive college credit that can transfer back to their home
institutions. All costs are covered: tuition, housing, meals, etc.
