Dear PhD Student:

Our first "Research Poster Day" is coming soon...February 27th (Saturday).
It is from 9.30 am to 11.30 am in the department conference room (possibly
followed by lunch in the Student Center).

We are happy to let you know that we will give away a single $100 Best
Poster
Award - which will certainly enhance your resume!

By Thursday Noon, please submit your posters to Professor Yingshu Li at
[log in to unmask]
The posters will be judged both on presentation as well as research
content (50% each).

Our department has a machine to print out your posters. Some suggestions:

1. Clearly mark CS department.
2. General introduction instead of technical detail
presentation.Remember the purpose is to
attract high school students to Computer Science.
3. Column-wise rather than row-wise format.
4. Be creative.

Attached please find the poster template.

Good luck in the competition!

From the desk of Dr. Pan/Dr. Zelikovsky/Dr. Sunderraman
