---This message is intended for Ph.D. students who have passed the proposal defense------

The Provost is providing access to HEERF relief funds for graduate students in the form of Provost Dissertation Fellowships, to be administered by the Graduate School. The following apply to these funds:

  1. Fellowships provide an assistantship of $1,500/month for up to ten months, beginning earliest July 1, 2021.
  2. Students need to individually apply for these, with the support of their advisor and department chair.
  3. Students should be within ten months of completing the dissertation, and have an approved prospectus/proposal.
  4. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis - I encourage all eligible students to apply now, and as students become eligible in the future (e.g. successfully defend/approve prospectus/proposal), they should apply at that time.
As funds are limited, I encourage eligible students to apply as soon as possible. Please email me at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> if you plan on applying so that I can keep track of your application.

The link for students, advisors, and chairs to submit the required information is here:<>

We anticipate that an additional program will be announced soon with options for small grants available for MA/MS students, but we don't have details on that yet. We will share that as soon as we receive any information.

Please note the College is not involved in review or approval of these, so if you could please advise us of submissions from your department we would appreciate it so we have an idea of how many applications have gone in.

Let me or Amber know if you have any questions.
