Dear PhD Students,
If you have been asked to teach a course in Spring 2023 or are supported by research grant/other department, please ignore this email.
We will begin to assign GTAs for Spring 2023 shortly. If you are being supported by our department funding (including MBD/BB fellowships), you should submit a GTA preference for Spring 2023 in OGMS (http://grid.cs.gsu.edu/~ogms/) by Today, Nov. 28, 2022. If you do not submit your preference on time, you will be assigned based on the department needs.
Please include at least 3 courses with lab sessions (1***/2***/3*** courses) as your preferred courses. PhD students are generally expected to work as lab TAs.
After login, click “Funding” on the left panel. Then click “GTA Application”. Click the ‘Apply’ button to begin. All the fields are required. Use the email that you check regularly. Make sure to correctly input your email address (e.g., don’t miss ‘student’ in ******@student.gsu.edu).
Please note: you should log in OGMS through VPN. Instructions for connecting to GSU VPN can be found at https://cscit.cs.gsu.edu/sp/guide/vpn<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcscit.cs.gsu.edu%2Fsp%2Fguide%2Fvpn&data=04%7C01%7Cwli28%40gsu.edu%7Cf603f98c8b1f43262ba008d9a6441341%7C515ad73d8d5e4169895c9789dc742a70%7C0%7C0%7C637723633615737672%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=9VSUXC5qwaR2clptx3b1dla2clbrAdbixLOVrk%2FLc7M%3D&reserved=0>. If you encounter any system problems, please contact the OGMS Team at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Best,

Lisa
