Dear PhD Student,

The 2020 Fall PhD qualifier exams will take place in September 2020. If you plan to take the exam, please fill in the following form by April 3, 2020. This is a firm deadline. If you submit the form late, we may not be able to schedule your exam.

For your convenience, following are the primary rules for the qualifier exams. More details can be found in the Graduate Catalog (https://catalog.gsu.edu/graduate20192020/college-of-arts-and-sciences/#computer-science).

1. Timeline Requirement: A typical student (one who is admitted to the Ph.D. program with no missing/very few foundation courses to take) is expected to take the qualifier exam no later than the third semester (excluding summers) after admission.

2. Curriculum Requirement: The student is expected to have completed three courses in two core areas (Theories and Systems) and received at least two A grades and one B grade.
