SUMMARY:
Provide support to design and development of software applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems for projects of
limited scope and complexity to support the design and development of
software applications.
?Analyze detailed description of user needs, program functions, and
steps required to develop or modify software product.
?Follow documented process and standards for requirements analysis,
design, testing, and documentation.
?May assist in performing on-site client work.
?Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling
limitations to determine if requested program or program change is
possible within existing system.
?Study existing design specifications to evaluate effectiveness and
work with Software Engineers to resolve design problems/issues related
to system specifications or programming.
?Inform the appropriate personnel (manager, delivery team) ahead of
time if deadlines are in jeopardy.
?May participate in the preparation of technical reports, memoranda,
and instructional manuals as documentation of product development.
?May prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects to
address client needs and internal issues.
?May participate in all levels of product testing.
?Other duties may be assigned to support the organization and its
goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and/or
18 months to three years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
?Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and
trigonometry.
?Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios,
and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
?Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
?Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
?Has general knowledge of workflow analysis reports and quality
standards.
?Has general working knowledge of design standards within software
product development.
