キ  *Position Title:* *CDN Capacity Planning Engineer*

キ *Job Description:*

キ Working with the CDN Business Unit and IP capacity planning team to 
help create a predictable model for CDN Capacity of bandwidth.

キ Model would be based on 5 geographic regions, 4 media types, http, 
https, flash and Windows Media.

キ Daily traffic analysis and reports will feed the business model, along 
with tying data from the Salesforce forecasting system.

キ Conduct trending analysis and projections based on gathering data from 
different sources and build operational reports to help manage capacity 
going forward.

キ Individual will also assist in developing online sales tools to 
demonstrate the performance and capabilities of the CDN network.

キ Individual will also assist in conducting research to help write 
technical whitepapers for new features coming out of the product 
management team.

キ Individual will also do a competitive analysis of the Internap CDN 
Capacity versus the competition.

キ Capture key performance data points that can be built into a customer 
facing presentation (i.e. CDN Pop slide with capacity by media type).

キ Participate in the CDN Media Console re-launch and help create a 
couple of technical marketing tools to support product launch.

キ *Job Qualifications:*

キ Computer Science Major in either their junior or senior year, or 
Masters program candidate.

キ Strong understanding of network concepts (basic DNS, Network Protocols 
TCP/IP, http knowledge) .

キ Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint and Word).

キ Good communication skills.

キ Demonstrated ability to write technical documents.

キ Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

キ Knowledge of how a Content Delivery Network and how video is deployed 
on the internet is a plus.

キ *Work Schedule*:

キ 13 weeks full time with an opportunity to continue part-time 
throughout the school year. The continuation of the part time work would 
be based on the internship.

キ Work schedule will be 40-50 hours a week.
