Graduate Research Assistantship
GSU Voice Research Lab
The voice Research Lab directed by Dr. Eva van Leer is looking for a graduate research assistant (10-20 hrs a week). The assistantship includes a stipend and a tuition waiver. Research involves acoustic analysis of digital voice recordings (e.g. individuals imitating different voices or doing voice exercises) including both automated signal processing and perceptual analysis (by ear). The CS GRA would be responsible for
1) basic coding in the lab (e.g. for statistical software)
2) managing multichannel eye-tracking recordings for a new pupillometry project
3) various signal processing tasks (matlab experience helpful)
4) some iOS programming of our voice therapy app, possibly
5) creating a dashboard or web app for managing wav files stored in icloud Firebase.
Relevant programming languages might include javascript and ruby/php/python.
