Subject: NSF Fellowship Opportunity Open Science Data Cloud Partnership for Int'l Research and Education (OSDC-PIRE)

Dear Dr. Xiaojun Cao,

As per Dr. Heidi Alvarez request I'm pleased to present this exciting National Science Foundation funded fellowship program called the Open Science Data Cloud Partners for International Research and Education (OSDC-PIRE). We are currently seeking graduate students to learn how to use community science cloud computing and travel abroad for 6 weeks over the summer of 2014 to work with well-known international partner institutions. Our international partners include the State University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, the Beijing Institute of Genomics in China, and the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands to name a few.

As the OSDC-PIRE begins its recruitment efforts for the 2014 summer, I would value the opportunity to disseminate information about the program to students at Georgia State University. I would like to reach out to graduate and doctoral student researchers to apply for a fellowship with the OSDC-PIRE 2014 program, especially those within the areas of bioinformatics, genomics, computer science, information technology, and engineering. If possible, I would also appreciate the opportunity to have someone email the information to appropriate graduate students.

The OSDC-PIRE program provides graduate students with international and research education experiences through training and study at universities and research institutes around the world.

If you would like to read more information about the program, you may visit the following websites:

Additionally, I'm attaching a link for our online flier with more information that you may share with prospective students.

Let me know if you require more information
