Dear Funded Students,

I know most of you have done. Sorry to bother you again. If you have not, please do so online before Dec. 9. After completion, you should get an email indicating that you have completed the Ethics Training class.

Good Afternoon,

The deadline to complete the Board of Regent's ethics training is fast approaching. Although the university completion percentage is currently 69%, the College of Arts and Sciences is only 32%.

Please make sure that EVERYONE in your unit who is on the GSU payroll completes this training. Not only are staff and faculty required but everyone student, grad student, PTI, limited term staff and faculty, etc.

Please make sure that everyone in your unit complies with this required training. Opportunities to complete the training in group sessions are listed in the email below.

If you have any questions, please contact Doug Samuels at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

Subject: RE: Getting the Ethics Course Completed
Importance: High

Colleagues,

We are at 69%...was hoping for a little higher number...that said, it is up 8 points from last week.

Dec 9 is the final deadline to get this done. We cannot do it without your concentrated effort/support.

We are running walk-in classes Tue, Wed, and Thu in the HR Training Room (basement of 1 Park Place):

Here's the schedule:
Atlanta Campus
Date/Time:
Dec 3/1p, 2p, 3p, 4p
Dec 4/1p, 2p, 3p, 4p
Dec 5/9a, 10a, 11a, 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p
Location: HR Training Room, 1 Park Place Basement

We are in the planning stage of delivering sessions at Clarkston.

Please let your people know they are welcome to walk in, watch the video, and sign the compliance document. Should take about 30 minutes.

If you have not already done so, may we suggest sending a blast email to all your Enrolled and Not Enrolled constituents requesting they register/complete the course by using the attached instructions and reminding them it must be completed by Dec 9?

We appreciate your continued support.

Please let us know how we might be able to support your efforts.

Thank you,
Doug

Subject: Getting the Ethics Course Completed

Colleagues,

Wanted to let you know a couple of things...

Linda Nelson has extended the completion deadline to Dec 9

Many of you have GRAs and SAs on your rolls. Facilities and others have successfully put on a campaign of scheduling group sessions to get their employees through the training. Facilities is at 99%!

We would like to suggest that you consider scheduling several sessions during the week of Dec 2 providing several opportunities for your GRAs/SAs and other employees to complete the course and sign the compliance document.

All you'll need to do is to access the course through your Stacks account, show the video, have all attendees read the USG Policy (1 page) and then sign the Compliance Agreement. Then compile the attendee list in an Excel spreadsheet and send both the agreement doc and the Excel spreadsheet to me.

I've attached the USG Policy document, the attendance spreadsheet template and the compliance signature document.

Please let us know if you plan to deliver any group sessions.

To assist your efforts, ODCS is scheduling the following opportunities to complete the course by attending one of our sessions next week:
Location: 1 Park Place, HR Training Room (basement)
Date/Times:
12.3.19 - 1p, 2p, 3p, and 4p
12.4.19 - 1p, 2p, 3p, and 4p
12.5.19 - 9a, 10a, 11a, 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p

Please let all your constituents know this schedule and that it'll take them about 30 minutes to complete.

Have a wonderful holiday.
Doug

Subject: Updated Ethics Report
Importance: High

Colleagues,

We're at 61%, certainly moving in the right direction. Great work out there.

Other numbers: 85% of the colleges/divisions are at least 50% complete, and 50% are at least 75% complete.

G Deck was pretty empty this morning, so we certainly have a lot of employees off today and probably the rest of the week.

That said, may we ask that on Monday you make it a priority to contact all those in your respective areas that show either Enrolled or Not Enrolled?

FYI - most Enrolled employees did not hit the Submit Quiz button under the 2-question quiz and thus did not Complete the course. All they have to do is one of two things: re-enter the quiz and select the Submit Quiz button at the bottom of the page; or they may have to select the Retake the quiz button, answer the questions, and select the Submit Quiz button.

Don't forget to update your area's data with information you have on Emp Status (i.e., there may be some people on your rolls that are no longer here and need to be deleted) before reporting your numbers up your leadership chain.

To see your Summary numbers after updating your roll, go to one of the Summary worksheets and with your pointer in the middle of the worksheet, right click the mouse and select Refresh from the dropdown. This will update all the Summary worksheets.

So you're aware, we'll be asking for that update data within the next week or so to create a master spreadsheet that reflects that information. Please keep it handy.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Take care,
Doug

Colleagues,

Thanks to all of you that are diligently working on getting your constituents through this course. Your collaboration is very much appreciated.

On Monday, we'll be sending out a REQUIRED TRAINING email to all GSU employees thanking those that have competed and urging those who have not to do so.

We have had some insurmountable technical issues today and will not be able to get the report to you as promised.

We commit to getting it to you first thing Monday morning.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

Have a great weekend.

Subject: Updated Ethics Report

Colleagues,

Attached is the updated report. Please review this email thread for important information.

Employee IDs have been removed from the report. College/Division has been moved to the first column on the employee tab per other feedback.

NOTE: It has come to our attention that SAs and GRAs (students) are used to having a course already loaded into their iCollege system. Not the case with Stacks. Students will have to register for the course as we all have had to do.

Please ensure your SAs or GRAs are aware of this. Many are not finding the course when they log into Stacks and are forgoing completing the course.

Please circle back with any issues you or any of your constituents have.

Thank you,
Doug

Subject: Presenting the Ethics Course to Groups
Importance: High

Colleagues,

We are fast approaching Nov 30. We need to have everyone in compliance by that date.

Don't forget you may take care of this in group sessions. Here's what you need to do to get your constituents in compliance.

They'll need to watch the video, read the USG Policy Manual (one page), then sign the compliance document (which duplicates the course quiz).

Please double-check the compliance document when completed to ensure everyone printed/signed/dated appropriately.

You'll need to transcribe the names of attendees to an Excel spreadsheet so that we can transfer this information to the master spreadsheet.

Send the spreadsheet and the compliance document(s) to me.

I've attached the PPT showing the registration process and a written transcript of the video in case you might need it.

REMINDER:

  * This course is to be completed by all GSU employees (faculty and staff) who arrived at GSU before Oct 3, 2019. All new employees who arrived on or after that date and completed Ethics Training did so with this version and don't need to do it again.

  * All students receiving a check from GSU are required to complete this course, as well.

Circle back with any issues/etc.

Take care,
Doug
