Subject: Grad Student Coalition Meeting this Wednesday, 8/3 at 7pm

Hello, everyone!
Great news from the Graduate Student Coalition - Julia and I have arranged a meeting with Dr. Lisa Armistead and Amber Amari, respectively Dean and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School. We will be meeting with Dr. Armistead and Amber Amari on August 5th. Our goal is to gain a better understanding of the university structures that dictate department budgets and funding allocation. We believe this conversation to be the first step in determining which individuals and university committees we must directly target in our campaign to raise graduate student stipends. The next Graduate Student Coalition meeting is this Wednesday, August 3rd, at 7pm over Zoom. We would like to redirect the focus of the meeting to strategizing how we want to approach this conversation and which questions we would like to ask in order to get as much beneficial information as possible to further develop our campaign. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in this campaign, please join us on Wednesday! We encourage any and all interested graduate assistants to attend this meeting to share your input on what you would like to know from the Deans of the GSU Graduate School. This is a great opportunity to communicate directly with the administration and ask some questions that help us get closer to the root of the issue, so please come if you can!

In solidarity,
Kei (and Julia)
