Dear graduate students (with cc to faculty),

The good news: our entire suite is getting a renovation overhaul this summer: paint, carpeting, ceilings and lighting! We sure need it!

The bad news: the suite will not be available for our use this summer. Lynda Bourne, Frank Williams and I will have temporary offices in Langdale Hall (office #s TBA). All other faculty will be working remotely. We are expecting that there will be space available for a temporary relocation of the dental microwear lab, and I am told that there will be a conference room available for our use in Langdale. Updates on all this will come as I have them.

What we need for you to do: Please remove all materials from your graduate lounge mailboxes, or anything personal you may have left in the graduate lounge, THIS WEEK. We will be packing up the entire suite, so anything that we do not recognize as necessary department property will be thrown away. You will also see a table in the hallway on the side of the suite where Dr. Black's, White's, Sharratt's Williams's, and Turner's offices are located. This table is piled with books and journals that faculty members have discarded. If you are on campus, please take a look and feel free to take away anything you find of interest!

We will be completely cleaned out from the suite, with no access to get in, by May 13 at the latest.

Have a good summer! jp
