For clarification purposes, please NOTE that the dates of employment for all GTAs hired for Spring 2021 is from JAN. 11 - MAY 4.

Also, ALL labs should be conducted as usual during the last week of classes. This rule applies to CS labs held on Monday, April 26th the last day of class as well.

Dear All,

The CS search committee will have a faculty candidate interview next Tuesday and Wednesday.

The successful candidate will also serve as the inaugural director of the newly established Center for Disaster Informatics and Computational Epidemiology (DICE).

The CS search committee has set aside the following time slot for graduate students to meet and greet the candidate.

Cox Backbone Capacity Planning and Automation has been one of the company's priorities over the past few years and was successfully completed in January of 2020. The goal was to forecast the backbone hardware needs for the entire year, then deploy and verify that hardware across the nation, and finally turn up network capacity between markets automatically or on-demand at the click of a button.

Dear graduate students, faculty, and staff,

We (CS-GSA) previously had in mind to organize an internal event and talk about the diversity in CS department and the challenges it brings with itself for the graduate students. But then we thought such an event would be much more fruitful if we opened it to all the faculty and staff of the department. So, we expanded our horizon and with the help of the Office of Diversity organized a session on this topic. (See the attached flyer.)

In Summer 2021, we plan to compensate slightly higher in July to bring the June+July total to 3800 for Teaching Fellows and 3300 for Lab GTAs/Graders.

1. There are two openings for Teaching Fellow (TF) in Summer 2021. Each TF will teach one section (since the class is double-spaced)

The 2021 Fall PhD qualifier exams will take place in September 2021. If you plan to take the exam, please fill in the following form by April 30th, 2021. This is a firm deadline. If you submit the form late, we may not be able to schedule your exam.
